Dr. Anthony C.S. Wong B.Sc., D.M.D.
Dr. Anthony Wong is the principle dentist in this dental centre. His main areas of expertise are in the areas of Dental Implants and related prosthetic treatments, as well as Smile Design and Cosmetic Makeover. Of course he is also well versed in all areas of general dentistry.Dr. Wong graduated in 1976 from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Dentistry. At the same time he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Prior to that, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia. Throughout his many years in dentistry Dr. Wong has pursued higher levels in dentistry by participating in and contributing his expertise in various study groups in the areas of Endodontics, Periodontics, Crown & Bridge, Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Wong was selected to be listed in the International Who's Who of Professionals in 2003 because of his activities in many areas of the profession and being committed to both educating himself as well as others, which he has kept up till this day. Of special notes are the following: Major AchievementsDr. Wong was extensively trained in Neuromuscular Dentistry under the wings of the late Dr. Bernard Jankelson in the late 70's. Dr. Wong was one of the founding members of the TEST group in Cosmetic Dentistry investigation in the mid 80's. He was doing cosmetic dentistry before it became popular. More recently he was extensively trained in the art and science of Complete Smile Makeover at the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies, there are only 18 others in Canada who graduated form this fine cosmetic dental institute. He is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute (1993), mentored by the world renowned Dr. Carl Misch. |
 - He achieved Fellow status at the International Congress of Implantologists- He achieved Associate Fellow status of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and later became a Fellow of the Academy, the highest credential of the oldest Dental Implant association in the world. Only 5 other dentists in BC have the Fellow status from the AAID. - He has achieved Diplomate status of the American Board of Oral Implantology. This is the highest possible and the most prestigious credentials in Implant Dentistry. It requires years of experience, many hundreds of hours of continued education, hundreds of documented cases, case presentations and defense in front of a 10 person board, and grueling written and oral examinations. Only 8 other dentists in BC carry this title. |
 He is a graduate of the Intravenous Sedation Program offered by the University of Alberta and holds a certificate in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).He has been part of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia since 1995, and is now serving as Prosthodontic Consultant in the Fourth Year Clinic. He is the President and mentoring member of the Oral Implantology Surgical Seminars. He is a dental implant mentor to other dentists in the Nobel Biocare Mentoring Program. He is a certified Optimal Dental Physiology practitioner. He is BioPak certified by BioReasearch Inc. He is a qualified BOTOX Cosmetic© practitioner for facial aesthetics and rejuvenation. |

| Dr. Wong is married with 3 grown-up children and 3 grown-up step children. He was born in Hong Kong but has called Vancouver his home since 1967. When Dr. Wong is not working hard in dentistry he enjoys golfing, ballroom dancing, reading and exploring new places and cultures. |
